Vertex has its roots in the Utility Sector. In 1996, Vertex was born when predecessor, United Utilities, was formed from the merger of Norweb and North West Water. Today, Vertex?s utility business enjoys global strength with domestic service. In July of 2008, Vertex acquired the Utility Services Business of Alliance Data. Vertex is now uniquely positioned as a North American market leader offering complete meter-to-cash outsourcing, technology and consulting solutions. The North American utilities business has 2500 dedicated utility professionals and 18 Centers of Excellence to serve more than 70 electric, gas, water, and retail energy clients in the US and Canada.
