2008
- Vertex announces agreement with Alliance Data Systems Corporation to acquire the company’s Utility Services business. Alliance Data’s Utility Services provides billing systems, professional services and process outsourcing to utilities in the U.S. and Canada.
- Vertex signs seven year, £40 million($75.5 million) contract with Merrillville, Ind., based energy provider NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) to provide Customer Contact Center services in the United States.
- 10-year, large-scale contract secured with SouthStar Energy Services LLC in Atlanta, Georgia.
2007
- Vertex named as the biggest mid-market private company in Britain, according the to The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table.
- Sir Peter Gershon CBE, former CEO of the Office of Government Commerce appointed non-executive Chairman of Vertex investor board.
- Acquisition of Indianapolis-based IEI Financial Services LLC announced.
- Vertex acquired from United Utilities PLC by a consortium of three leading US investment firms - Oak Hill Capital Partners, GenNx360 Capital Partners and Knox Lawrence International.
- Vertex ranked No.1 energy & utility outsourcing provider in the Black Book of Outsourcing’s "Top 50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" report.
2006
- Acquisition of 1st Software Group Limited, who develop, market and support back office software for independent financial advisers.
- Vertex selected in the 'Leaders' category for the 'Global Outsourcing 100'. The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) selected the list from some of thw world's top outsourcing organisations.
2005
- Acquisition of Marlborough Stirling announced, the market leading provider of software and services to the financial services sector.
- Vertex and IBM join forces to provide business transformation services to the North American energy and utility market, beginning with a $1.6bn contract with US multi-state energy company, NiSource.
- Vertex wins two prestigious awards for outstanding sales performance in its public sector work at the International Business Awards 2005 in New York.
- 11,000 employees and 68 sites worldwide.
- Vertex and Westminster Council strategic partnership awarded 'Best Outsource Relationship' at European Call Centre Awards 2005.
2004
