Susie Buffam
EVP, Head of Shared Services
Susie Buffam joined Vertex in 2007 as EVP of International Operations. In this role she leads Vertex operations in North America and India and is also responsible for Operations shared services (work force planning, performance management, quality, and MIS) globally. Prior to joining Vertex, Susie spent several years in retail financial services in senior roles in Operations, Vendor Management, Finance, and Business Planning at RBS Card Services, Citigroup, and Juniper Bank (now Barclaycard US). She has led major transition, turnaround, and change efforts in both start-up and established organizations. Susie began her career at Goldman Sachs with assignments in both New York and London. Susie has a BA in English from Wheaton College (IL), a Masters in Education from Eastern University (PA), and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City.
